A grape that originates from the province of Alessandria, widely cultivated in the Monferrato area. Conical-pyramid bunch with one or two wings; golden yellow skin on the side that faces the sun, yellowish green on the shadowy part. A pale straw yellow color with golden reflections. The taste is dry, with a pleasant sharp freshness. Delicate and persistent scent that recalls the grapes from which it derives. In addition to being a good aperitif, especially if served slightly lively, it is well-known with cold appetizers, fish and broth soups.
